so i jt turned on my CS today and i am getting constant 60 fps, its like its capping at 60 fps. yes my fps_max is 100 and my vsync is force off. any idea why my fps would just do that out of the blue? video card drivers are up to date as well.

Damn, don't know. I just bought a new card and when smokes pop, i drop to 30 fps from 100. No fix that i have heard of .. so dumb

i doubt it's overheating, and i didn't do anything or change any settings

happened to me many of times especially if you update your drivers. You just have to keep messing with the control panel on the 3D settings and closing and relaunching CS. Just mess around with the Vsync to force off or application controlled. If that doesn't work just keep messing around with all of the settings it will eventually work. This is with Nvidia cards anyways. I called support and they said with older games the newer drivers dont seem to work properly. Hope this helps.
